Our goal
Is not only to implement and maintain the road closures but also to develop a close, supportive community that can work together whether to increase security, transform our parks into places we frequently utilise or just have some fun! However, this won’t happen without everyone getting involved and contributing (financial/expertise/time).
Monthly Contributions

R.C. information
A few concerned residents began looking into creating a road closure as a way to improve security in a section of Blairgowrie (the area between Gordan Ave, Blairgowrie Dr, Republic Rd, Barkston Ave and Mackay Ave).
Then in 2020 we became a registered Non Profit Company and received council approval in 2023.
After 4 years, filled with a lot of hard work and support from residents & others, we finally began operating in November 2023.
There are 2 entry / exit booms that provide 24 hour access into the area
- Glamour Rd - off Mackay Ave
- Blairgowrie Dr - off Gordon Ave
All other roads into the area have gates that are closed outside of peak hours however, pedestrian gates are present to provide access.
- Peak hours are Monday to Friday between 6 & 9am and 3 & 6pm
Events
Bring a picnic, family & friends and come have some fun!
The road closure will begin operating after a small opening ceremony at the Glamour Road entry boom to mark all the hard work and support it has taken to reach this point.
